Pyrrole Disorder - What is Pyrrole?

Pyrrole Disorder is known by many different names including the commonly used names of Pyroluria and Kryptopyrroles, it is also known as Pyrrole Disorder, Mauve Factor and Hemepyrrole. Pyrrole Disorder can best be described as the inability of one to secrete waste produced by your blood in a normal manner, in other words it is slightly defective haemoglobin. People who suffer from Pyrrole Disorder produce excessive amounts of HPL which, binds to or inhibits the nutrients; Zinc, vitamin B6, Biotin, and the Omega 6 Fat GLA from reaching their targets within your body. The HPL itself is damaging to end organs if found in high levels. This effectively renders these nutrients unavailable.

There are many symptoms and signs that may indicate the presence of having Pyrolle Disorder and they may include but are not limited to;-

  • Anxious
  • Hyperactive
  • Paranoia
  • Insomnia
  • Poor tolerance of stress
  • Depression
  • Pessimistic outlook
  • Mood swings, emotional lability
  • Anger and violence out of proportion to the situation, including rage
  • Poor functioning of the digestive system, including poor absorption of nutrients as well as food sensitivities

There is evidence to suggest that people with Pyrrole Disorder are genetically predisposed to the disorder but, it can also be caused by a variety of lifestyle issues such as poor diet, leaky gut syndrome, stress and poor digestion.
